short-range planning and evaluate the system's services.

Interlibrary Coordination
Mission Statement:
The Interlibrary Coordination and Development Committee
(formerly the Coordinated Collection Development
Committee):
Monitors collection
strengths to ensure that collections are current in
relation to school curricula and NYS Standards.
Proposes and reviews
policies and procedures for media center coordination
and development; for example, weeding collections and
submission of cataloging information for database entry.
Recommends to the Advisory
Council specific expenditures of SLS grant and HFM COSER
monies to: promote technological advancements which
support more timely access to materials in all
collections.
Supports collection
development.
Monitors the accessibility
and timeliness of ILL and continue to suggest or provide
better means of doing so.
Coordinates with other HFM
SLS committees.

Long Range Planning Committee
The Long Range Planning Committee provides the BOCES
Hamilton-Fulton and Montgomery Instructional Technology
and Information Resource Services Coordinator with a
framework for the future by maintaining a standing
committee:
To develop and annually update the Plans of Service
for the SLS and IRC.
To explore objectives for the future.
To propose recommendations for a course of action to
the School Library System/IRC Council.
