Health-Safety Risk
Management Mini-Workshops 2008-09 •
There is NO COST for these workshops for participating district
personnel.
•
Workshop size is limited to 10 persons, so register early.
No-shows: Please let us know at least three days in advance if
you have signed up and can't attend.
•
All workshops will start at 8:30 am and will end by noon.
Morning Refreshments will be served.
•
Workshops will be held at the HFM BOCES building at 2755 State
Highway 67, Johnstown, NY in the Health-Safety Risk Management
Offices.

This workshop is for Business Officials and/or B&G Supervisors
who plan for and take care of school facilities. All aspects of
a Comprehensive Maintenance Plan will be reviewed, using the SED
Excel Template as a guideline. |

student searches in general, as well as technical procedures and
issues using metal detectors will be reviewed. |

manage work orders, preventative maintenance procedures,
room/event scheduling and IT work orders. The SchoolDude

Control: This workshop is for facilities directors and
school nurses who oversee and/or implement all procedures
related to infection control, OSHAʼs Bloodborne Pathogens
standards and school disinfection in general. There will be a
focus on the latest developments and regulatory changes. |

Integrated Pest Management Strategies:
This workshop is for school facilities personnel who are
responsible for pest management, whether or not they are
licensed pest professionals. Options for pesticide and
non-pesticide control of rodents, insects and other structural
pests inside or near school buildings will be reviewed, focusing
on the latest non-pesticide technologies and strategies. |
