Holiday book drive will help adult learners, families
A book is a gift that can be opened again and again and again...
The HFM BOCES Office of Adult Literacy and Corrections Education
is asking area residents, students and staff to donate
contemporary, gently used books that will be distributed to
adult learners and their families.
"Our adult learners
will benefit tremendously from having access to a wide variety
of reading materials, including children's books, self-help
books, novels, cookbooks, poetry and reference books," said
Laurie Bargstedt, HFM's coordinator of adult literacy and
incarcerated education.
From now until Jan. 4,
books can be brought to room B109 in the HFM BOCES campus.
