ESL
students join together to celebrate accomplishments
Farewells offered to
two teachers
Students and staff from the English as a Second Language
program recently shared covered dishes and companionship as
they wound up the summer session of programming. More than
30 students and their families brought foods representing
many different Latino cultures.
The
dinner also served as a celebration of best wishes as
students bid farewell to teachers Adrianna Gomez-Piccolo,
who has been with the program since its inception nearly
five years ago, and Jessica Charde.
The evening was a time for practicing newly developed
language skills among the various levels of learners,
encouraging one another to return in the fall and building a
stronger school community.
ESL classes will continue in the fall with programs for
beginning, intermediate and advanced language learners. For
