Gloversville schools launch search for new leader
Dr. Michel coordinates the search process for district
HFM BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Patrick Michel will
coordinate the search for a new school superintendent for the
Gloversville Enlarged School District. The Gloversville Board of
Education has launched its effort to find a new district leader
to replace Robert DeLilli, who left in August to assume the
Johnstown superintendent's post. Gloversville is currently under
the direction of Interim Superintendent Cliff Moses.
Search brochures and online information about the opening are
available on the HFM BOCES
website. The comprehensive search will also include online
advertising through the New York State Council of School
Superintendents (NYSCOSS), as well as through the On-Line
Application System for Educators (OLAS) that serves more than
300 school districts in several regions of New York State.
The BOCES District Superintendent traditionally coordinates such
search efforts, guiding school boards in the development of
professional qualifications that meet district needs, and
helping to facilitate the evaluation and interview process.
Its really in our best interest to find the most suitable
candidate for these positions, Dr. Michel said. We all end up
working very closely together every day.
